About Strength Education
10 years ago, I conceived of this idea.
A modular, progressive, coach development programme, that not only taught coaches about how to more effectively evaluate and coach athletes, but how to actually coach in a meaningful and powerful manner, and how to build, run, and scale a successful business.
Everything I have done since has been geared to building the network, knowledge, experience, infrastructure, and team to make this happen.
As we move into 2018, I feel we are finally there.
Welcome to the Strength Education Coach Development Programme.
I don't think I'll ever get used to this part. But I do want to give you a rundown of what has put me in a position to help you with developing your coaches, your systems, and your teams.
I have an M.A. in Management from the University of St Andrews. This has given me a strong foundation in all aspects of business, systems, and teams.
Over the years, I've created, developed, and managed teams in many different guises - coaching teams, sales teams, editorial teams and welfare teams to name a few.
From voluntary teams to highly-paid teams. From part-time to full-time team members. And over that time, I've figured out what makes them tick.
I’ve focused attracting the right people and training teams in ways that build to build autonomy, cohesion, and retention. I’ve learned how to empower individuals in their respective roles, and how to develop them in a way that is scalable and repeatable.
I've run multiple businesses, projects, and teams. I've been in the fitness and strength coaching industry for over a decade, and coaching coaches for a decade. And I've worked with multiple gyms from long-time CrossFit gyms to new boxes, to high-end "boutique" gyms to help them build and better their internship and coach development programmes. In particular, how to create coaching systems that allow you to not have to be on hand to answer every little question that arises.
But that’s enough of that, because it's not about me, it's about you. Looking forward to having you on board the Strength Education Coach Development Programme.
